Prof. Rath has made remarkable contributions as an acclaimed educationist, researcher, author, mentor, and a versatile multilingual individual. Prior to his appointment as Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rath served as the Adviser (ICT) at the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru, India, for an esteemed tenure of nearly four and a half years. Additionally, he held the position of Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla.

Prof. Rath completed his graduate studies in Computer Engineering, earning a master's degree (M.Tech) and a doctorate degree in the same field of specialization. He further augmented his expertise by obtaining an MBA degree in Systems Management.
